A message from Coach Lyme

Unknown-4.jpeg2020 has certainly been a tough year and I hope this finds you all safe and well.

Starting on March 30th, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (times TBD), we will take to the field together again as a TEAM and start our pre-season training working towards what I hope will be a successful 2021 season.

We can only sit and wonder what the past season would have looked like, what kind of TEAM did we have, what could we have achieved, and so on. I know, because I have also done that. What I am excited about is what 2021 is going to look like! The only way to find that out is to get started now, set our goals and work towards them.

I know you are all as excited to get started as I am, but we will do this properly and under the most updatd COVID guidelines.

We will train hard, we will look after each other both on and off the field but most of all we will have FUN.

My coaching philosophy sums it up best:

“It’s about the relationships, the enjoyment of the game and most importantly about the culture of the TEAM. Unity within the TEAM with increased positivity and belief”

At Staples Rugby it’s all about the enjoyment of the game, understanding how to be a part of a team and be accountable to that team, both on and off the field no matter your level or understanding of the game.

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone and welcoming new players and families into the Staples Rugby family.
